Today on the way to work I walked past one of those tables for the United Homeless Foundation and the conversation went like this:

him: "Can you spare some change?"

me: *shakes head - keeps walking*

him: "Just a penny sir"

me: *shakes head - keeps walking*

him: "Half a penny?"

me: *grins and shakes head - keeps walking*

him: "how about you just pick up a rock and throw it at me?"
